Article for the future book: "NLP and Spirituality"
Following his book "The Promised Land," about his life and work as President of the United States, Barack Obama was interviewed. One of the questions was: "How did you uphold the highest ideals of our country without, like many, becoming cynical while watching the news?"
Barack Obama replied that this was partly due to maintaining a focus on the future - the long term, not the short term. At the same time, he said, it's important to feel the urgency of the present alongside the long-term perspective.
